My approach is evidence-based, trauma-informed, and grounded in warmth and empathy. I draw on attachment theory, family systems, EMDR, and mindfulness-based practices to support clients in building insight, confidence, and connection.

Janice Noseworthy, MSW, RSW (she/her) is a Registered Social Worker in British Columbia and Saskatchewan (Telehealth only in Saskatchewan). She is passionate about helping individuals and families heal from trauma, strengthen relationships, and find resilience after hardship.

Janice’s approach is evidence-based, trauma-informed, and grounded in warmth and empathy. She draws on attachment theory, family systems, EMDR, and mindfulness-based practices to support clients in building insight, confidence, and connection.

With a background working across community and government settings, Janice has supported children, youth, adults, and families through challenges such as anxiety, depression, relationship conflict, stress, and intergenerational trauma.

At Ember & Root Therapy, she creates a safe, collaborative space where healing doesn’t erase the past — it grows from it.
